Customer Service Meteorologist
Baron is currently seeking degreed Meteorologists to work within our state of the art, dynamic, fast-paced, 24/7 Customer and Technical Support organization. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will focus on providing technical and user support on all Baron broadcast solutions directly with our customers; providing input for new software features; testing new software releases; developing broadcast quality content for our customers; monitoring the timeliness and quality of all data delivered to our customers; and issuing forecast products.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology or a related field and have prior television broadcast experience. Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Windows and Linux are required. Candidates must be willing to work nights and weekends.
International Sales Representative
Baron is seeking an International Sales Representative. Baron provides comprehensive weather solutions to clients globally including radar, data integration, displays, value added weather data, weather modeling (including numerical weather prediction, air quality, and hydrological modeling) as well as alerting and public outreach solutions. Previous international sales experience with government agencies and local agents is important. Meteorological and/or Engineering background is also important. Positions requires extensive travel abroad. Foreign language skills are a plus.
Baron has an opening for an electrical engineer with 0-3 years of experience. Candidate must have a BSEE or equivalent. Responsibilities will include weather radar system engineering, analog and digital hardware design, embedded software design, testing, and documentation. Candidate must be able to work with limited oversight and tackle more than one task at a time. Candidate must be able to work on a small team and have an aptitude for a practical, hands-on approach. Experience with schematic capture, PLD design, PCB layout and RF is a plus.
