One of the most sophisticated numerical weather prediction systems in the world for meteorological and air quality applications, the Baron Model provides meteorologists with a host of parameters, including:
- Dew Point
- Relative Humidity
- Wind Speed & Direction
- Precipitation Type/Rate
- Atmospheric Pressure
- Cloud Cover
In addition, an air quality forecast model is offered, using powerful numerical air quality prediction (NAQP) to provide custom-deployable forecasts for pollution caused by ozone and particulate matter. Baron also offers a unique Air Quality Index forecast, incorporating both ozone and particulate matter to predict air quality levels at local and regional scales.
The Baron Model is offered in resolutions of 45, 15 and 3km, depending on terrain models and the number of data inputs available. A new model run is performed every six hours, allowing updates to the model four times a day.
