    Baron and AccuWeather have entered into a strategic partnership to bring the ability for television stations to cover severe weather like never before through the StoryTeller interactive touchscreen solution. In addition, AccuWeather is utilizing Baron’s radar and severe weather products on the new 24/7, “All Weather, All the Time” AccuWeather Network.

  • Boeing

    Baron provided solutions to Boeing for its Missile Defense Agency’s Sea-Based X-band Radar (SBX) floating platform. This dual-purpose weather and air surveillance radar is a vital part of the country’s defense. This contract is now held by Raytheon and is still supported by Baron.

    As one of the leading global designers of mobile communications, Cobra enlisted Baron to help provide weather data to its 8500 PRO HD navigation unit. The product helps keep drivers safe on the road by providing real-time weather, fuel prices, traffic updates and more.

    In a partnership with L-3 Stratus, Baron upgraded 171 NEXRAD systems for the U.S. Department of Defense, Federal Aviation Administration and National Weather Service to dual-polarization.

  • El Tiempo

    El Tiempo, owned and operated by Pelmorex Media, selected Baron to provide critical weather intelligence through a customized weather graphics system. The technology offers a viewing experience with increased functionality and the ability to show weather in 3D, including hour-by-hour storm evolution.

  • Federal Aviation Administration

    In a partnership with L-3 Stratus, Baron upgraded 171 NEXRAD systems for the U.S. Department of Defense, Federal Aviation Administration and National Weather Service to dual-polarization.

  • Garmin

    Through the XMWX Satellite Weather service, Baron provided satellite-delivered weather to Garmin’s GPS devices for aviation and its marine chart plotters. As a result, pilots and boaters have better weather-decision support when facing notable weather. Garmin also integrates Baron weather data into the Garmin Pilot app using XMWX and the Baron Weather API.

  • Honda

    Baron worked with Honda to release HondaLink weather, an application-based platform that connects drivers with local weather keeping them safe on their route.

  • Lockheed Martin

    Baron worked with Lockheed Martin on the Integrated System for Meteorological Surveillance, Forecast and Alert in Romania (SIMIN). As the radar product integrator for the project, Baron provided the nowcasting with real-time radar processing, enhanced 2D and 3D visualization, automated product distribution and alert messaging. Baron also assisted with Lockheed Martin in the DESWAT project (Destructive Water Abatement and Control of Water Disasters), an initiative to upgrade the hydrological monitoring system and implement advance hydrological data integration, processing and modeling software systems.

  • NBC Universal

  • Rockwell Collins

    Avionics specialist Rockwell Collins worked with Baron on the release of XMWX Satellite Weather into its Multi-Function Displays (MFD), making storm tracking and displays accessible directly from the hardware in cockpits.

  • SiriusXM

    In 2003, Baron partnered with Sirius XM (formerly XM Satellite Radio) to create the XMWX Satellite Weather Service. This innovation made it possible for emergency personnel, storm spotters, pilots, boaters and more to view comprehensive weather data on their choice of mobile device, painting a clearer picture of current and forecast weather conditions.

  • US Fleet Tracking

    US Fleet Tracking and Baron are working together on weather data integration projects. US Fleet Tracking customers can benefit from API-delivered Baron weather data as an overlay on their fleet tracking systems. In turn, Baron utilizes US Fleet Tracking data for GPS vehicle tracking in its broadcast display systems.

    Baron serves as WeatherNation’s complete weather solution offering comprehensive weather information including graphics, Internet-streamed data, radar and more.

  • Weather-Ready Nation

    As an ambassador of Weather-Ready Nation, Baron announced the availability of the Baron SAF-T-Net weather alerting system without charge to every local Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in the United States. Through this effort, Baron is helping the organization fulfill its mission of “building community resilience in the face of increasing vulnerability to extreme weather and water events.”

    The Weather Network, a company of Pelmorex Media, enlisted Baron to provide a customized weather graphics system that lets on-air presenters share comprehensive and engaging weather stories. The system enhances weather coverage with the ability to show weather in 3D, including hour-by-hour storm evolution. Additionally, The Weather Network and Baron help bring “Beat the Traffic” data and display software to the U.S. television marketplace, sharing up-to-date traffic data with audiences during critical parts of the day.
