Lockheed Martin
Baron worked with Lockheed Martin on the Integrated System for Meteorological Surveillance, Forecast and Alert in Romania (SIMIN). As the radar product integrator for the project, Baron provided the nowcasting with real-time radar processing, enhanced 2D and 3D visualization, automated product distribution and alert messaging. Baron also assisted with Lockheed Martin in the DESWAT project (Destructive Water Abatement and Control of Water Disasters), an initiative to upgrade the hydrological monitoring system and implement advance hydrological data integration, processing and modeling software systems.

National Center for Atmospheric Research
Baron has been involved with NCAR/UCAR community modeling systems since the late 1990s. The relationship includes participation on various NCAR weather modeling committees, including WRF Working Group 8 (WRF-Chem). Starting in 2005, Baron included the NCAR Research Applications Lab on its team of modeling scientists providing innovative hydrological forecast systems for Romania. The resulting technology evolved into the hydrological version of the WRF model (WRF-Hydro), which now serves as the basis for the United States National Water model.
